Intentions

I’ve always thought of you in terms

of someone who took something from me.

Is that completely and honestly

what happened though?

I have a feeling none of this was your intention

But then . .

what were your intentions?

If they were not to leave me after using me,

then what was it?

I don’t think I ever want to know your answer

to that question

Because if you had negative intentions from the beginning . .

then I really was blind and stupid

Worse yet,

if your intentions were good and true

and you did in fact want something serious,

then somehow,

I managed to mess that up
